Uncompressed 7D footage LOOKS UNBELIEVABLE, so HOW DID THEY DO IT?

5D only outputs 480 while recording, so this only works on the 7D, and I'm assuming the !Ds Mark IV as well.

Hi, I'm new here but this looks like a great forum. I've been thinking about HDMI to HDSDI for a while now. This would open up lots more recording possibilities, some
compression is pretty harmless, uncompressed HD is 500GB /hour. Also waveform and
calibrated monitoring becomes possible and 80m cable lengths.

When the 5D2 isn't recording what resoluton does the HDMI output ?

So where did things land with this thread. Is it dead or is there some relevance to Syndicate being about to output 4:2:2 on a 7D?
