Unclear footage

Hello Everyone. I just bought a Panasonic DVX100A video camera. I have not had the best of luck thus far for filming with it and I am not happy so far. Here is my problem:
Hi Guys and gals,
It has lots of bells and whistles and all that fun stuff. I also have a Canon GL2 and XL1s. I have seen the great quality footage that those cameras have put out but this new Panasonic is not the same. I have been filming with it a couple times and it seems to very not nearly as clear of footage and also it seems to have a little delay effect so to say when it films. Almost like it is delayed a half second or so and is real easy to tell when you are zooming and or using on a tripod. Is there anyone who has used this camera and would know how to help me out to fix this problem or lead me in the right direction to get 100% clear footage that is not a little pixalated and delay looking effect.
Thanks in advance.

There's not really enough information here to help. Can you post a sample of the this problematic footage?

And some questions:
- Where are you watching this footage that you notice it looking bad?
- Which frame rate are you using? (60i, 30p, 24p, 24pA)
- WHat are your scene settings?

Also remember to turn off the steady cam option if you are using a tripod. You should purchase Barry's DVX Hand Book. It is extremely helpful in informing you how to produce the best possible image with the DVX.
