Typical Adobe! How do I use CS5 with the GH1?

So I wanted to try the trial of Premiere CS5. I have to laugh at how quickly the Adobe products become a PITA.

#1. I cannot import a project from a lynda.com CS5 training dvd.
(the project contained a sequence that could not be opened. No sequence preview...blah blah blah.

#2. I do not see any sort of option that seems to match my AVCHD footage in creating a new project. What a joke. In Vegas I can simply select the file and it read the correct properties.

Anyone use this with the GH1?

the trial version of Adobe CS5 is missing the native AVCHD timeline presets.

i upgraded to the full CS5 a while back and remember when i opened Premiere it stated it would have to download additional features that were not included in the trial version.

i only realised this when my mate had the same issue with missing AVCHD presets.

who uses presets? Get to know your footage and you dont need to guess at what premiere is guessing at what you are doing.

Regardless of your project settings, simply import your footage and drag it to the New Item icon at the bottom of your Project Window and it will create a sequence that matches your footage.

Not in the trial version. AVCHD requires Adobe to pay a license so Adobe does not include it in the trial. It will work in the full version through.

showoff! hahaaa

its not really letting premiere guess what you are doing as it states all the settings the preset is working to, can be a faster way to work.
