I was hired to film two short films that were written by the employees of a nearby casino. The casino held a contest for their employees to write scripts to promote responsible gambling. I was given two days to shoot a total of three short films. One of them was done all against a green screen and thus not very technical. These are the other two.
It was a lot of fun as I was running as a one man crew. I do have to say the employees who were my actors were great and made this task a lot easier than it migyht have been other wise.
Thye toughtest part was sound as I had no sound person to either montior or boom a mic. All I could do was place my shotgun on a boom over the actors and hope for the best. Sound was record to a small Sony recorder. I did all my editing in Sony Vegas Pro 9.
Here they are:
Short 1: The Winning (a parody of the Shining)
Short 2: Slot Trek
I would truly appreciate any feedback you can provide. I know I have a lot to learn.
Gear:
Canon 7D, Canon 50mm 1.4, Canon 24-70mm 2.8, Canon 100 mm 2.8, Canon 10-22mm ES , Glidecam 4000, Indislider, Sony SX700 recorder.
