Two great prod cos, a few great shorts!

Hey guys! The two production companies I'm involved with finally are getting a web presence:

I'd love it if you took a look at some of our shorts and left us some feedback--we're always looking to get better. A couple of them have been posted on threads here before, but not all. And if you or your production company also use myspace, add us, we love new friends!

Thanks!

I watched the Silencer. Great work. Just a few complaints: If you tape a silencer to a pistol like that it's extremely likely it'll jam and be unable to chamber the next round. The vocal sound could have been better in some scenes, and there were times when its volume was inconsistent. Other than that, the visual styling and story were excellent. How did you light the outdoor night scenes?

That was actually one of the few shorts there I didn't direct, but I believe the issue with the silencer itself was probably just unfamiliarity with the equipment on the part of the writer/director -- however one could argue that these guys aren't exacty the slickest of assasins.

All night exteriors were shot using natural lighting, however there was also a fair amount of color correction done that probably enhanced that, especially in color.

Glad you liked it! It was one of our first fims.

I watched the "Silencer" and I thought it was pretty good. There were a few audio problems, but it was a good story and pretty well directed. The only major thing I noticed is that when he shoots in the bedroom at the end, since the silencer was on the gun, we should have barely been able to hear the sound of the shot. I like the shot of the window flashing, but if it was a tad bit short, it would've been perfect. Good job, I'm going to go back and watch some of the others.

Also, I have a myspace page, and I would love to set it up similiar to that style, instead of how everybody else has theirs set up. How'd they do that?

Sorry to go off topic but...

People never seem to get silencers right. If you watch videos of people using them on youtube, you'll notice they sound more like an air gun than that high pitched noise they make in movies. If you fire a supersonic round (like a 9mm) through a silencer, somebody in a different floor in the same house is still likely to hear it. Also, you're almost never going to see a muzzle flash out of a silencer.
