C100: Two C100 Questions

Hello all,

Two quick questions.

1). I do not see C-log as an option on my C100. I do see "Cinema." Is that the same thing?

2). Is there a way to set auto white balance>

Sorry for not doing more research my self. I took delivery of the C100 today and my first shoot starts tomorrow, and I need to head out soon to catch a plan, so I'm in a desperate pinch for quick answers.

Many thanks!

I do not have our team's cameras with me, but for log use the camera profile button and then go to the bottom of the menu and the setting next to wide DR will be log. I think it may be cinema. For auto, but not continuous, WB set the WB menu to the A or B setting with symbols next to the A or B then punch and hold the upper WB button. Use a appropiate white target. Sorry this is so vague but I am leaving for a shoot where the cameras are already set up and I do not have them as reference, and I do these things automatically without thinking so the specifics are not in my mind. But you needed assistance ASAP.

Consider using Wide DR as it is very good, but not as good as log, but requires less grading.

If you use log the exposure will not the the same as the camera indicates. Wide DR is closer to indicated autoexposure. Ride your zebras.

Hey Omar,
You have to unlock the cinema mode do see whats "inside", but IIRC it defaults to Clog. For WB press the joystick, move to the WB icon, change to A or B (it will blink), frame your white and press the WB button on the left.
If your your shoot is tomorrow and you don´t know the camera yet, you should maybe consider a backed in look based on the WD setting...
(Edit: I didn't send the answer right away, so now: What Phillip said :cheesy: )
