Hey there guys, well basically now that I have figured how to twitter from my cellphone hehe... I'm thinking I will now maintain a twitter - which is here http://twitter.com/LawrieBrewster

My idea is to present updates on my work relating to directing, producing, and to let folk message me if they need help or shout outs for their work. Basically as something positive and useful to artists.

That's it really! And yes you are allowed to joke that im a kind of teenage girl for having a twitter - but Stephen Fry does too and he's no girl!

Yeah, welcome! The main thing is to be really active and posting interesting stuff. Which is also the hardest part in my opinion :D Keep it up!

Oh, and I added you btw :)

I've got a personal twitter I use socially, and a proffessional one that's only used when there's an important update in the MARIANNE project.

My experience is, Twitter is a social media platform, and you gotta think of it as a chat channel or message board forum. If you're afraid to take it seriously, you're probably kind of wasting your time. I've got more followers on my proffessional twitter, but people pay way more attention to my social one because I use it every day. That's where I meet people and carry interesting conversations. I have friends there, and make new ones every week. That's what Twitter is good for, not updates.

Someday people will actually talk face-to-face again....
No they won't. I've had two people this week tell me, on the phone when I call them, to send them an email instead. In both instances it was because they were too busy or stressed to talk on the phone.

I agree there's a place for email contact and there's a place for phone, but some things needs to be done over the phone still.
