Shoot at a golf course - setting suggestions

Evening All,

I'm shooting a fund-raising event at a golf course tomorrow and thought I'd run by some scene setting ideas I had. Love to get your input

Shooting in 30P
V Detail - Thick

Clients are normally use to that "video" look, but I'd like to give them something more filmic looking. To that end, I figure 30P is a good compromise. I'll also set V Detail as THICK, to avoid a lot of strobing (since a lot of shots will be pans to show the beauty of the golf course).

Matrix - Enriched (it's outdoors with a lot of green).
Master Pedestal set to -5 (again because it outdoors in bright sun) I'll change that to 0 or -3 when I shoot interviews in the shade.

That's about it. Any other suggestions or changes? I'm wondering about Chroma Phase. Since there's so much green (it's a golf course after all), perhaps I should set it to -7 to enhance it.

Thanks in advance for your thoughts.

Peter

30p sounds like a good compromise.

V Detail doesn't really affect strobing. It's more about diminishing vertical detail within shots from fine lines, not strobing from camera movement.

I would also be cautious about shooting outside (in sunlight, at least) with master pedestal set too low. Your shadow detail may become blocked up and unrecoverable later on. I usually shoot with a setting no lower than -3, and if it's bright sun then I default it to 0.

I would also avoid changing the phase setting too much. It's really meant to correct the magenta/green axis. I think you could get into some really weird skin tones if you skew it too far.

Much better to do alot of what you want to achieve in post colour-correction.

good luck!
