Trying to mimic "The Office" look, input please

Shooting a spot and the client has asked for it to have the feel of the popular TV show, "The Office". I get the camera moves and quick zoom Doc feel but I am just curious if they are shooting that in 24, 30 or 60p? My head is thinking 60 because it seems to have no shutter to it like I remember 60i looking like, I am quite sure Im right but would like reassurance, also if any one knows around what shutter speed they are using that would be helpful to, looks like 1/60th-1/80th.

Thanks,

Jon

It maybe broadcast at 60i but I dont think its shot at 60i maybe 30p if I had to guess.
Try shooting a room with a few people walking around at those progressive frame rates and then decide whichone comes close. It's the best way to find a solution IMO.

Goodluck !

I also think a major part of the look will be the lighting. You'll need to go for a very flat, very even lighting look, i.e. very few shadows. Lots of overhead lighting with appropriate front fill.

Ended up shooting it in 24p at 1/50th, shot closed down (F4-F8) to keep a lot of DOF. shot flat and kept the servo off so i could push in and out quickly. Overall turned out good.

Thanks,

Jon
