Trying to find the ENG 15mm Rail system for the Tape Varicam.

I have no idea the model number of this item. Was trying to find it on ebay with no luck. My varicam only has the stock baseplate and I need the one that will allow railing for my mattebox and follow focus.

The Cavision set I linked to earlier is US$192.00 if you don't want to spend $352 for the very nice Chrosziel set linked to. That's why I ended up with the Cavision setup as I have too much Scots blood in me to spend the extra $$$'s :)

Thanks for the info everyone! I will most def be going with Cavision as i've bought and used quite a bit of their products over the years and their build quality is great and it doesnt hurt my wallet. Thanks again!

One thing to be very careful about is the removal of the black Panasonic screws when you go to mount this plate. Those old screws were a fairly soft metal and I've seen many easily deform and strip. Make sure you have a fairly pointy Phillips head screwdriver that seats very well in the screw and makes good contact down into the center bottom of the screw head and not just the edge side walls. Once you remove these screws I would suggest replacing them with some nice steel countersunk flatheads. It will really make a difference. i would also suggest that you put some Loktite on them because once you mount that plate on there's really no reason to ever pull it again.

Good advise, as I now seem to recall having trouble with at least one or two, if not all, of my VariCams when I removed the factory VCT wedge. I remember standing in my office MF’ing Panasonic intently, because of one that I thought I was never going to get off and having to go to Lowe’s or Home Depot and buy a special bit to remove stripped screw heads.

Oh I know all about those silly screws. Thanks for the reminder Mitch :)
