Trying to copy -to- a P2 card

I got a tricky problem, and probably a rare one. Has anyone ever been able to copy a video made in FCP to a P2 card?

I need to use the camera as an HD player to go to a projector. We have no other reasonably affordable way to input the HD footage than using the camera and the component cables. I figure I'd just copy the 15 minute piece to a P2 card and then play it off the camera.

I successfully connected the card to my powerbook with FCP and firewire. Any ideas on how to make an MXF from scratch correctly that the camera can read?

Can't you play out a DVCProHD project through the Firewire port? You can then use the dubbing function on the HVX to record to a P2 card.

Use Raylight for theMac, it has a P2 exporter feature. Otherwise, the only way to get FCP-edited footage back to a Mac is to do as THoff says and "print to video" to the camera via firewire, capturing the incoming data stream to your cards.

Ok, I got the 'Print-to-Video' FCP function working, and was able to copy over a 24fps video onto P2 no problem!

However, now I am completely stumped, I can't get the camera to record at 30fps or 60fps. All my FCP settings are set to 720p60. I set the timeline editing base at 24fps. I put in video at 24 and 30 fps, and both will go to the camera fine, and be recorded (at 24fps). However, if I change the editing base to 30 or 60, and try video that's natively 24 or 30, I'll get nothing recorded onto the camera except sound.

I've hunted thru every last FCP menu and camera menu, and I can't figure out why 24fps video can be recorded, and 30fps can not be. All my video is natively dvcprohd. Anyone have any suggestions?
