Trouble with 60d and Log and Transfer in FCP

Hey guys,

I just picked up the 60D today (fantastic little thing by the way) and am really looking forward to cutting some stuff together. However, even after installing the new Canon FCP plug-in, the 60D is not being recognized in FCP's Log and Transfer window. The camera is also not mounting the desktop, but I'm not sure if this has something to do with the issue or not. The camera is plugged directly in via usb, and I can't seem to find a reason for it not to work. Does anyone know what I am doing wrong?

Thanks,

Chris

did you install the plugin from the USA/canadian site or the UK site? i think i remember reading somewhere that the UK version was 60d compatible and the USA version was not?

Thanks a lot for the replies. I did download the plug-in from the USA site. I'll go pick up a card reader and see if that garners any results.
Thanks again!

I also had some problems with my 60D initially, and I was using a card reader. After getting tired of using Mpegstreamclip I re-downloaded the plug-in from the canon site and everything worked fine when I restarted FCP with the card in the reader. Also, I found making a .dmg of the card as a backup was a good idea, and you can mount the card from there instead of having it plugged into the card reader.

The card reader fixed the issue. So all that needs to be done is get the plug-in and use a card reader. Not a bad solution. Thanks a lot for the advice everyone!
