Trouble connecting to computer

I recently purchased the 7D and took some test photos and video, but when I tried to connect it to my computer (24" I-Mac) it wouldnt show up.

I used a friends 5D mkii and had no problem connecting.

Any tips?
 
The same happened to me. When you connect it with the usb it doesnt show up as a drive like other cameras have for me. You have to install the software included and than get your media through eos utility. Otherwise get a cheap CF card reader.

Not sure if the 24" i-mac comes with "Image Capture" or not, but search your drive for that. If you have it, plug your camera in and it should show up.
