tripod upgrade

I just bought a letus extreme, so it's time to buy a more heavy duty tripod. I've been looking at the bogen 501, but i'm not sure if it will be able to handle the weight.

To those using adapters with their XHA1, what kind of tripod do you use/ would you recommend. I'm looking to spend 500 or less. I realize this isn't a huge budget for a tripod, but basically anything will be better than what i have now.
Thanks

Look at the Libec LS38. Excellent for the money, but may still be more than your budget
I don't have a external monitor **yet** (just ordered it.)
So the only weight I have on the Libec LS38 is my XHA1. But alone its great. Its a very quality tripod for the price; i'm sure when I get my monitor mounted in addition to whenever I get a 35mm adapter it will hold up well.

I have the Bogen/Manfrotto 501HDV head and it holds up great. I also have a Bogen/Manfrottoe tripod, AND Bogen Tripod bag, and got it all for $360 at a local store.

The deals are out there you just have to ask for it sometimes.

I bought a Davis and Sanford Provista 7518B for less than $200 and have been astounded at the quality, stability and ruggedness of this unit. My only complaint is that it doesn't go as high as I sometimes need. But a fluid head with a nice slide, ball leveler, gas-filled legs, etc for this kind of money makes no sense. It came with a bag and a second slide for that money. I've never bought a much more expensive unit, but I've shot with them, and I've not gotten better results with units costing literally ten times as much.
