Question is- I have a manfrotto 501 head and sticks, paired along with my dvx. My buddy and I ordered a redrock recently and I was wondering if I needed a head that can support more weight. According to B&H, the 501 with sticks can hold 13.2lbs, and the 503, 17.6. I am sure the 503 would be better in the long run, but is it worth it at this time? Thanks!

btw- I already ordered it last night before they closed. ****ers at B&H ship too fast, called this morning to cancel and it was already shipped!
 
If it's already on the way, heck, try it before you send it back. I don't think you'll regret using the 503 at all.
 
Yea I had planned on doing that anyways. If I enjoyed it I was just going to sell my 501 with sticks on eBay, i saw em going for about $200. I would probably need a good set of sticks- any that are inexpensive that you would recommend? I just blew most of my money on lenses for the redrock and a shure fp33

and the iphone I won yesterday ;)
