Tripod/head for GH1 on Indislidermini Deluxe - best one?

Hey all, tried searching online and on this forum but couldn't find an answer. Anyway, just purchased the indislidermini deluxe off the Marketplace and must say it is AWESOME. Got some pretty solid shots with stock lens and canon 50mm 1.4, you can see it here http://www.vimeo.com/11497773

But anyway, I realized on the tripod the slider flexes because I'm using a cheapo Sunpak (although it cost me $90) tripod and its like a see saw when I slide the camera from one end to the other.

What would be a good solution for this under $300? I was thinking maybe a 501HDV head (although I've heard it can't touch other tripod heads such as the original 501)...and some decent legs? Any help is appreciated and apologies in advance if this is a newb question but I really couldn't find any answers. Thanks in advance and once again, the indislidermini is really great for what it is

Hi, i have the Manfrotto Kit 501HDV head and the 055XB Tripod, include a nice transport bag, i´m very satisfied. The head is really smooth and precisely, the Legs maybe a kind of heavy but very sturdy.

I´m from Venezuela and trying to buy the IndiSLIDERmini but is very hard in my country to buy stuffs on internet, due to restriction in use of dollars, thanks for your video make want more the Slider.

Sorry for my bad english

Thanks for the info, I figured the 501HDV wasn't adequate for my Canon Xh-A1 but will be for a much smaller DSLR, thanks!

a 501 will handle canon a1 with ease.
i prefer the smaller 701 which is solid and smooth, but much lighter and compact than the overkill 501.
as for legs, i'm using a Velbon V-7000 which is cheap, but sturdy and has a mid-level spreader that lets me get lower to the ground. for your minislider, i'd recommend something similarly cheap, but sturdy, and without any spreader at all so you can open the legs up completely and get that thing right on the ground without actually having to remove it from the legs.

whoops i meant to say it was adequate for my xh-a1 :P but overkill for gh1
thanks for the help!
i think i may go with this setup! it sounds like it'll be useful down the years even when i've moved on from gh1
