Has anyone installed the Triad PL conversion kit on your C300 EF? Pretty sure this would void your Canon warranty.

The new TRIAD C100/300/500RS PL-mount converter has all the features to turn your Canon C100, C300 or C500 into a cinematic camera, the alternative of having a PL-mount.
The package includes:
- the PL-mount converter
- Rods support
- 2 rods of 15mm (0.59 inch) diameter and with a length of 15 cm (5.9 inch)
- 4 shims of 0.1, 0.2, 0.3 and 0.5 mm
Note: The maximum compatible lens mount length is 2.54 cm (1 inch).

Definitely would void your warranty and I don't see why anybody would do it. There are plenty of cinema lenses available to the EF mount without having to resort to surgery!

Makes me cringe every time I see that video...

This looks like a really cool product if you owned all EF glass yourself, but worked on shoots using PL sets from time to time. A little expensive, but I think I'd feel comfortable swapping it out myself as long as I wasn't in a rush to do it. Warranties are overrated!

Have sold this product to a number of clients. Has been a life saver for some. While others prefer to have PL mount cameras. Read the warranty carefully - i believe that DAMAGE to the camera by use of any 3rd party items will not be covered. The way I read it that includes batteries, power supply brackets etc - any items that cause any damage.

Careful use of any third party items is very important with these and any other camera systems.
