SHORT: Trailer: The Pali

This is a trailer for The Pali, set in present-day Oahu, Hawai'i. The story revolves around Hawaiian mythology, although surprisingly their superstitions seam to be the most real of any religion I have ever seen.

A little back story if you are not from Hawaii. It is said that if you take pork over Route 61, or better know as the Pali Highway, Pele (goddess of fire) will stop your car before you pass the mountain ridge, mistaking you for her ex-lover Kamapua'a (Hog-Child demi God). Once passionate lovers, they now are apart, both longing to be together, but both stubborn and unwilling to submit to the other's powers. Pele rules fire, volcanos, lava. Kamapua'a is from the oceans. Fire and water.

Enjoy!

I think the 'trailer' is a bit long... but even more important... I was bounced out of willing suspension of disbelief by 'premium pork'... and not a can of Spam... or a big tray of Spam all set up with pineapple...

Thanks Marlon! We shot it in 2 days, and edited the trailer in 4 hours haha! It was for a local film competition. The topic was a Hawaiian tale, and the prop we had to use was the Pacific ocean. They gave us a month to write, shoot and edit the film, but we decided to do it with only 5 days left till the deadline.
