[Daniel Carruthers]

A trailer went up for a short film I was the Cinematographer on.
its called Somnious and its a Kung-Fu sci-fi film
I shot this on a Canon T2i with Nikon prime lenses, there lots of green screen work and effects
But also lots of practical locations, it was a fun shoot
Please let me know what you think?

Hi,

where did you buy thesse nice backgrounds?

Nice job!

[Daniel Carruthers]

Thanks for the comments
All the sets where practically free or where built for cheap, and we are fortunate that vancouver island has some beautiful locations to shoot in
As for any digital greenscreen background, Denver jackson the director is an amazing and talented animator

[etrust]

Where can I find background like this: 0:18; 0:36. A Homepage would be great.

[Daniel Carruthers]

I don't know
I be leave the director animated them from scratch? I can ask though?

[Daniel Carruthers]

Yeah there all original animations

Here's the latest trailer for the film somnius
The film still has lots of post visual effect to be done, and more miniature spaceships are being built so we can shoot them real soon
