Although I much prefer manual focus, it is still useful to make the most of all the options a camera can offer. And on the 14-140mm lens the manual focus ring is a bit of a bind!
I notice that when I use the touch screen focus on the LCD screen it seems both faster and more responsive when in live view. Once I am recording the speed is less quick and it seems to either "think" about focusing or on occasions does not or struggles. Why should it be any different from live view prior to filming and in actual filming mode? Does it make any different whether it is set to AF-C or AF-S? The crytic instruction manual tends to confuse rather than educate!!
