Is this the total equipment needed to covert to HVX200

1. HVX 200 camera
2. p2 cards
3. laptop and hardrive to dump p2 cards in field
4. hi def monitor for editing
5. upgrade Adobe Premiere software
6. upgrade video card to run Adobe software
7. output device for DVD output or someother portable device to preview HD

What am I missing.

PS I have been using the DVX for over a year, how long will it take to relearn the HVX. I have an important shoot in a month.

Premiere doesn't handle MXF files natively, so you'll need something like Cineform or Raylight. Alternatively, you can get Canopus Edius Broadcast 4.

I'd second David's post. I also think that the laptop solution is too clunky and won't work in harsh locations. I love the P2store. Been so reliable and easy to use....

Also, don't forget getting a good microphone as well.
