Sorry if eyes roll at this question but this is the best place I know to look for help...

I've been working with FCP for over a year now but just purchased an HVX200 (yeah!) and have a question about bringing the footage into FCP...

I have no trouble using P2CMS to get the files onto my hard drive and FCP readily accepts the MXF files with the typical optimization warning. My problem is that I'm unsure of what settings I should use in FCP to make sure I achieve the best results. The material in question was shot in DVCPRO 480i/60i at the customers request.

1. Is it okay to just go ahead and work with the native MXF files by simply importing them into the FCP browser?

2. I see no FCP preset that specifically addresses 480i/60i... Do I need to make custom settings or is there a preset that applies and I just don't know it?

Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks!

D'oh! I'm a knucklehead...

If anyone cares, I found the answers I needed here: images.apple.com/pro/pdf/L317074A_FCP_Wkflw.pdf
