Re: Toronto DVX Users Group

If you guys want to hold the meeting somewhere, I could arrange it at my work. I work for Creative Post in Toronto.

I'm the senior editor here don't see it being a problem. We could hold it on a Thursday night at 6:00 pm

Let me know

Re: Toronto DVX Users Group

I would very much like to attend some meetings like that - exchange experience, do workshops, etc. Unfortunately my full-time job is out of Toronto for most of the week. Would anyone be interested in meeting on weekends?

Re: Toronto DVX Users Group

Weekends generally aren't that good for me - but thursday nights are relatively good (as long as it's not every week :D)

This could be a very good idea!

Re: Toronto DVX Users Group

Congrats to Mike Donis on Big Screen screening! Hey Mike, I was nice meeting you yesterday at your screening of "Grey Christmas". Being a DVX virgin, it was quite exciting to see someone's work up on the big screen, my wife and I both really enjoyed your film.
We loved the way your story line intersected and thought you did a great job as DOP. Talk to you soon. www.summitstudios.info

Re: Toronto DVX Users Group

Thanks Stan!

It was great to have met you - you're the first DVXuser that I've spoken to personally (except of course Thinspirit).

The screening definitely was a lot of fun! We'll definitely need to get this Toronto DVXuser meeting going on!

Re: Toronto DVX Users Group

Pure,

That would be awsome to meet at Creative Post, I go there for dvd's & stuff from tape works. I think DVX is the best, I just hit the 100 hour mark on the heads with no problems.

Later,

Dave P.

Another Torontonian here.

Bob Gundu, love your work. Great lighting in that video post. What was you lighting set up, if you don't mind. Loved your India footage a while back as well.

All the best,
Dale

Thanks Dale.

Pretty simple actually. Main singer had a 250W backlight and a diffused 250W side light. Most of the time was spent lighting the orange curtains from Value Village. The extreme wide shots and high shutter bits were light with 2 1000W medium photoflex softboxes.

Thanks Bob,

Thought they looked like small sources. Love to see the end product of your India shoot some time. Just finished a shoot in Nepal (shot on 35mm though). Great part of the world to shoot in. Amazing people.

Best,
Dale

We need a quality music video shot in a club a.s.a

I am a new independent record label owner with an artist who has just dropped an album out. We have shot one video and need to shoot another. Our budget is small, so what we are trying to do is shoot a video for free. We have the means to push the music video on MUCH Music, MTV and B.E.T. If you are a talented person who would like to be part of a driven crew, pease email me.

the song is called "Yeah, Yeah" and can be heard at www.VerseRhymes.com under media, then go to music and click on the song. We have a beautiful club to shoot the video in and many models to work with. I look forward to hearing from you.

Re: Toronto DVX Users Group

I started a new thread on this subject. We have a date, time and location for a meeting. I need all your help to make it a success.
