Tons of dirt and hairs, sensor looks clean though...?

I have a bunch of dirt and hair on my images. Not the lens. I've had the sensor on manual and there doesn't appear to be anything there. I've tried to blow air in and even wiped the screen real quick with my microfiber cloth. Still nothing goes away. I'm gonna bring into a camera shop but have a shoot for the next two days and wont have time. If I'm seeing dirt and hairs, is the only option with it being on the sensor?

Hi Grant, I had the same happen on my Canon 6D last week. For me the small hairs and dust only showed up when i was shooting lanscapes with the lens stopped down to F12 and above. The normal way to check for this is to stop your lens right down and shoot a plain sheet of paper or up at a clear blue sky. Look at the image full size on your computer and they will show up.

I used some Visible Dust swabs and fluid on my sensor, took 3 swabs to get the sensor totally clean though. There are many companies selling wet swab kits around, I dont know what would be available where you are though.

Dont use a microfibre cloth on the sensor as it could leave behind small bits of dust etc. I did try initially blowing air over the sensor with my rocket blower but that only shifted the dust around lol.

cheers Andy

Vacuum cleaner along with an Air Blower can really clean that dust out. Then i'd use a wet sensor cleaning kit, that should do it.
