Tokina Lens 11-16 vs 12-24mm

Im considering getting the 12-24mm instead of 11-16 due to its in Stock,price is cheaper and it zooms abit further.

what do you think of this Lens???
 
I think that the Tokina is worth the cost of buying it overseas like I did.

YES WOW! Making me want to order one now even though I sold my t1i personal cam the same day they announced the t2i. (and have a 5Dii for work) I want a T2i + Tokina 11-16 bundle.

how is the overall sharpness of this lens (hard to tell at a reduced size)?

where is the sharpness sweet spot in terms of focal length and f stop?

where overseas did you get yours and are they still avail?

1. Sharpest wide angle I have EVER used.

2. It is sharpest around 13mm-16mm, but i have no complaints at 11mm either.

3. Ebay seller. Can't find them now.
 
Does anybody know why the 11-16 is not readily available?

Any idea (even ballpark) when they'll in stock?

This may sound naive, but, why can't they manufacture more and get them into stores?
 
I bought mine from Amazon.com, through a seller called Ace Camera based in VA. It arrived yesterday and works great!

I plan to take it out and get some footage around DC this weekend!
