Tokina Adapter

Can you give me the exact model name? I don't think Tokina has their own proprietary mount... I thought they make lenses with mounts ready to go with nikon, canon, etc.

The lens has no arrived yet, thought you had to have an adapter like with nikon lenses for example. It's an EL lens

Tokina makes lenses for the major brands of cameras... if you get a nikon mount Tokina lens you need a nikon to EOS adapter. If it says Canon or EOS on the box you're already set. The box will say what mount it is for, or wherever you ordered it from should have said in the description.

If it's an older manual Tokina lens it might have a T-mount which is a threaded lens mount. The flange focal distance is long enough that it can be adapted to any of the major brands lens mounts.

If this is the case you'll want a t-mount to EOS adaptor.

Hey Ramsaur. The Tokina EL that you bought is just a standard Nikon mount and will take the same Nikon to Canon EF adapter as the 50mm.
