I'm looking for an ultrawide like this lens but need it not to have much if any barrel distortion. Is this a good lens? What is better?

My Samyang 14mm 2.8 is great but suffers with the 'curve'

I noticed you are posting on the FF canon thread, are you going to use this on a full frame canon? Though this is an APS-C lens, it will work on a full frame canon, albeit at 15ish to 16mm only. And at that focal length, the distortion is not noticeable as compared to the wide end, although even at it's widest, the distortion is barely noticeable to begin with.

The Tokina 16-28 is a Full frame lens. It's quite sharp. I bought it with the Samyang 14mm around the same time. Found the 14mm to be fairly soft and I didn't need the extra wide angle as much as I thought I did, so I sold it. Can't go wrong with the 16-28.

(I misread it as 11-16 originally as well, and was close to posting the "works as 16mm on FF" thing too; it just shows how popular the 11-16 is!!!)
