Tokina 11-16mm too good to be true?

Just saw this on ebay, I've been wanting to buy this lens for a while but its been out of stock. Just called a local camera store and they finally had on in stock for $730, a little more expensive then I was hoping. I checked B&H again $699 but out of stock, then I checked ebay and saw this http://cgi.ebay.com/Tokina-AT-X-116-Pro-DX-11-16mm-F2-8-Canon-New-/370397194575?cmd=ViewItem&pt=Camera_Lenses&hash=item563d64a94f. Is to good to be true? The seller has great feedback so it seems good but I really don't want to risk it.

Even at $20 above U.S. retail, that price is pretty good considering how hard the lens is to get. Up here in Toronto, I paid ~$850 CDN for one, brand new, after taxes (13%). That's about $832 US as of right now.

Sweet sweet specialty lens for steadicam work. I was way lucky to get a little used one from craigslist at original MSRP.

That's great you were able to find one on craig's list i've been checking on there for several months. I ended up finding another local retailer and bought it yesterday for $650. Loving it so far cant wait to use it in the field.

go for the 16-50 2.8... its my new go to lens I love it

thinking about it. I love my 17-40L for photography, but would like the extra length and stop...

Does the focus ring go the same direction as Canon and the 11-16? I feel like the photos I've seen on the web suggest otherwise.
