Hello

i wonder if anyone uses Tokina 11-16 f2.8 I or II version? Does it vignette? whats the difference between 2? how is the focus ring? is it smooth or stiff? how is the focus ring throw?

i can tell for sure that my 17-85 IS efs vignettes on my c300

i dont understand how it possible that 17-55 is f 2.8 vignettes for some people and not vignettes for other? same lenses, same cams.........

regards

It probably always vignettes. The C100/C300 sensor is wider than a typical Canon crop factor DSLR, like a 7D.

For this reason, the C100 has a new mode that you can setup in the menu called EF-S lens. This tells the camera to use a smaller portion of the sensor and then scale the image slightly.

It doesn't sound all that great IQ wise, but I haven't seen any footage like this.

Perhaps the vignetting is so small that not everyone notices?

Keep in mind that the C100 has a feature that allows use of EF-S lenses on the C100 without any vignetting issues. In the menu you select "EF-S Lens" and there's a very slight digital zoom/push in that should eliminate vignetting.

i wonder if anyone used tokina 50–135mm f/2.8? if so , plz post some comments about it....... i also would be interested to hear about similar range of zoom lenses from other brands

Regards
