Tokina 11-16 Iris Controlled Manually or No?

I'm looking at picking up a Tokina 11-16mm f/2.8 for my G2. I've got a Nikon to m4/3 adapter, but I don't see a place to change the iris manually and with my adapter the camera wont be able to talk to the lens to change it if it's done in the camera. Anyone know if this has manual iris control?

Thanks for the link, not sure that applies to this lens though. If someone owns one we can find out if you need to control the iris through the camera or if you can do it manually on the lens.

I don't own the 11-16, but have used it. I do however own the Adaptimax Plus adapter for other DX lenses that also do not have an aperture ring. This lens is not available native 4/3 or m4/3, therefore it will not communicate with the G2.

I've owned both - neither has aperture ring, the canon mount version of the 11-16 can only be controlled electronically, the Nikon version has a tiny lever in the back and some m43 to F adapters can actuate that lever. If you are on a dumb nikon F mount you can jam the lever by gently inserting the stem of a q-tip / cottonbud. Default aperture on the Nikon is closed. Default aperture on the Canon is open.

This is what you are looking for:
Nikon G AF-S F AI AIS lens to Micro 4/3 m43 adapter
http://cgi.ebay.ca/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=220742889826

It has the iris control built in. I also used the novoflex knock-off ebay product to also use the 11-16mm tokina on a t2i. After about 11 gigs the adapter has been worn out/bent because the lens is so long compared to the body. I don't know if the novoflex would hold up any better. The rainbowjiam adapter is much beefier and I get a good image out of this combo.

For my Pentax lenses I have two K-mount/MFT adapters , one for lenses with aperture ring like my Pentax 50mm F1.4 and one for lenses without aperture ring like my 10-24mm Tamron that looks like the 11-16mm Tokina.

Wow, thanks for the link iunknown, super cool. Are you using this adapter with the Tokina? Does this just go from open to close or can you hit all the stops inbetween?
