C100: Tokina 11-16 I vs II

Has anyone compared the Mark I and II versions of this lens? Seems the differences are the focus motor and coatings. Obviouly motor is a non issue. Mark I is quite a bit cheaper.

Did you compare both? Tokina describes it as "slightly improved".

I owned the Mark I for a year, sold all my Canon gear, returned to the fold recently and bought a mark II, only because the price was the same at the time.

Can't tell the difference - but a couple of years have passed.

Marketing is a strong force...

I have a Tokina 11-16. How do I tell if it is a I or II? I don't see anything on the lens indicating either.

If it is a mark II then there is a II on the lens name plate.
