To ALL Super35mm Camera owners: Lens for APS-C or not?

i am considering to buy a camera with s35 sensor in future - i currently own a 7D which i use for "normal" as well as time lapse shoots...

if i do timelapse i'd like to have a good wide angle lens, so if i buy an EF-S lens now for shooting with my 7D, will that be a problem on a S35 Sensor? i would expect vignetting, so can a difference of 1,4mm (diagonal) make such a huge difference?
Also, are there any other problems to expect with crop sensor lenses?

i would like to summarize the EF-S lenses which are capable of use with a s35 camera...

regards Steve

The sensor in your 7D and S35mm are almost exactly the same size. You should have no problems with glass for an APS-C camera covering the sensor.

Unless you meant you are switching to a Full Frame 35mm, I'm not really sure I understand the question either. One of the reasons folks like APS-C is because it is mostly identical in size to s35. Sounds like you've been shooting that size all along and didn't realize?

True, just realized that S35 is almost the same as APS-C, so I'd like to know which ef-s lenses will work with a fs-100/700 or a C300. I read that some vignetting can occur...
