I will be shooting a number of stage performances in the next few weeks and I wanted to get some tips from everyone here on how to use the spotlight mode on the xh-a1. since all of the films I make are either narratives or documentaries, I haven't had a chance to really explore how spotlight mode works on the xh-a1. what I'm really worried about is the exposure levels when dealing with objects in the foreground that are very well lit, while places in the background will be relatively to completely dark. essentially, I feel like the objects might turn out great on film but the darker areas might appear grainy. anyway, tips would be appreciated. thanks.
