Tiny Neon Blue Light burned in picture?

Hi,
I would first like to say I love my t2i. In conjunction with my Xh-A1 and 2 flip cameras. I'm able to film a wedding, seminar, commercial, ect with incredible professionalism and ease.

However I have noticed one thing. When filming with the T2i, There is always a tiny neon blue light present on the picture.

Does any one have any insight on what this is?

Is it a dead pixel? Is it a reflection of light in the lens elements? A little screen grab might help clarify.

If it's always in the exact same place, it's a dead pixel. Is it in the footage or just on the LCD? You can get dead pixels on the LCD and they won't affect the recordings. But if it's in the recorded footage, then yeah, you have a problem.

Yeah I'm pretty sure its burned into the image?

you'll want to "bake" the sensor

if I remember well, you have to take the lens off, put the cap on the camera, turn it on, (edit: this part was wrong), check for dead pixels again

but I'm not sure, and I can't find the thread that explained this method anymore
