Extreme sports personality Timmy O'Neill wraps up the Outdoor Retailer Winter Show with a "Timmy Tour".

Like the title says, this was shot run & gun on a shoulder mount, wireless lav on Timmy plus a wireless interview mic. The camera is so intuitive that we could focus on the shooting and have fun. 1080p/24 and some grading but I'm amazed at how well the AVCHD codec holds up and looks great right out of the box in many tough lighting situations. I like the grain structure of this camera too, much more so than the HPX170 for example. Zoom range makes it perfect for this kind of thing. Just my take.

That was great! I got the AC-130 and am so happy with it as well. Been doing a lot of run and gun shoots for nightclubs and national acts. It is my first experience with the AVCHD codec and like you, I am really happy with how it holds up and how it handles noise in a more film like grain compared to the splotchy compression blocks that come out my Canon DSLR. The zoom is just insane!

Keep having fun with the cam, fun bit you have there.

What kind of Lav/receiver was that? Also, what shoulder mount if you don't mind me asking?

Thanks.

I would also be interested in finding out what shoulder mount was used. I just received yesterday a Gliders Grey rig from India and am trying to figure out how to configure it. So far, it looks reasonably solild.

lavs were Sennheiser G3s plus a Sennheiser handheld mic for interviews. The camera is on a Redrock shoulder mount/grips and I'm using a 5" Marshall hdmi monitor on the mount
