Timer Remote for 7d???

I purchased the Canon TC-80N3. I haven't received it in the mail yet but after all the reviews and video's I saw, I decided to take the plunge.

I can't believe Canon actually has people willing to part with $180 for a device which probably costs under $10 to manufacture.

You can also find the wireless remote for about $3.

also do you have to use a time remote to do timelaspe?

Not this particular one. But I bought one for my 450D and I use the $3 wireless remote. If I was planning on using my 7d for time lapses I would buy this without hesitating.

I would be shocked if it did not work as advertised. Remember, you've got eBay's buyer protection program (which is nothing to sneeze at) and your credit card's protection as well.

I bought one of these cheap Ebay remotes in December based on Philip Bloom's recommendation. It has worked perfectly for me.

So my remote from ebay arrived this week, and I tried it out today. It seems to work great, but one drawback is that when shooting a time lapse you are restricted to 400 shutter fires before you need to manually restart it. Does the Canon remote have this restriction too? I don't remember (I used it once).

Anyway, for $22, it's a pretty good deal.

Set it to zero and it will continue until the batteries run out or you stop it.
