T2i Timelapse?

Does the t2i have a build in interval shooting/Timelapse funktion?
I know there are special interval setups for DSLRs, but I was wondering if they may have added a function like this as a consumer "fun" add-on...:happy:

Any other tips on getting a simple timelapse setup (no computer or interval box attached) appreciated!
Quality isn´t the ultimate concern, maybe I could use a small point and shoot for this...? Or sth like a HV30 and speed up in post?

I do a lot of timelapse but just got the T2 yesterday. Will let you know when I find the best timer rig. Sone are 50 bucks and work easy. It won't be my Norris for sure, I took a beating here once for just mentioning it.
There are many things to run tests one this camera so it may be a while, but will get done.
