TimeLapse First for this newbe :)

The shake of trees or whatever is in the foreground. Timelapsing streams and waterfalls looks incredible try that using a super slow shutter.

Okay I am back, 2 hours and only 4 shots.. man I have not looked. I even tried to frame one of the shots I did before :)

No onto editing this 30p footy. The only option is 1080i/601... So what do I do?

By the way GOD BLESS the ND on board filter.. Wow it was nice dropping down to 1/30 and the popping up the ND and being able to play with my iris.. :)

Yes load the 1080 60i easy set-up, then go into sequence settings and
change fields from Upper First to None.
Try that.

What does that exactly do by changing the feild from upper to none?

thanks for haning with me Mike.

I checked system setttings, and could not find.....

Now I found something that had the setting option in Audio/Video Settings, It was pre-selected on the 1080i60 and I clicked edit and it made a copy, I Re-named that compy, 1080/30p and change the Fields to NONE.. I hope that was the right way :)

Here is the new result of 30p:Shutter 1/30, ND 1/64 Manual Iris: Master P -5: Coring +2, Detail +3: F5 Cine V. Almost same composition.

HAHA Mike, that is funny, There actually is a Sequence settings in the FinalCut Menu :)

thanks for the tutorial.

Your cloud shots could be a little more dramatic. Polarizer is a must for the sick cloud footy. Question, why does the footy speed up and slow down?

Well DogCat, I expect only to recieve people's opinion. I also take every opinion to heart and see if it might fit what I am missing or my vision for somtthing. I hvae never used a polarizer and would love to see a before and after. U know when you take a camera and set it up lock down your shot and then film for 3 seconds, put the filter on and for 3 seconds. Screen grabs would be great :)

As for making more dramatics. I thing that if I change colors in post and popping the white will make it dramatic. If that can be done, but just uping the whites and replacing colors.

The raming, is a weird one. Becuase it is like I am filming from 1 frame per 5 seconds to 1 frame ever 2 frames. Also if I had time to create a score custom to the video it might look better. maybe :) I love ramping, and am starting to see people actualy use it in motion pictures and networks. Not that they have not used it before, but more so now :)

Hey SurJones, I'm still trying to figure out how to post footage. My old g4 is not handling 720 very well. My friend is trying to help me post, so I'll try to do a polarizer before and after. I have a circular one, and when you turn it, you can see the sky getting dark blue, which makes the clouds pop out more. I too like the effect of ramping, I had just not seen it on timelapse. It felt a bit stange to have the footy slow down. But experimatation is how you learn , so keep it up.

Sorry to hear about the G4, maybe time for you to upgrade to teh new Apple MacPro.

I have not been able to get out and shoot that much, but I do have about 6 clips I shot in 30p like it was recommended. I will be posting it hopefully later today. It should be more DRAMATIC :)
