Timelapse-1 second interval possible on 7D?

Hi
I have a Satechi remote shutter for my 7D. I've completed a shoot using .5 second shutter speed and 1 second intervals, all manual(no auto focus or auto exposure) and high res jpegs(no RAW)

Unfortunately it seems as though the camera has skipped every other frame, so I have half the number of frames I need.
Even using a shorter (.25 sec) shutter speed produced the same result.

So I reshot the sequence at 2 second intervals and everything worked, except 2 seconds gives me a result that is too fast and frantic looking.

I thought 1 second intervals should be no problem...can anyone suggest a solution?

Ok, answering my own question but hear is the answer.
1 second intervals using Live view are not possible on the 7D, at least in my tests. I was using live view to get the mirror lockup feature.
So if you need 1 second intervals, DON'T use live view. Unfortunately you get the mirror popping up and down for each shot with added vibration. For 2 second and longer intervals, suggest live view (you don't need to manually turn on the mirror lockup).
If anyone is able to get 1 second intervals WITH live view, please advise!

The correct outline to use the canon 7d for any time lapse remote for the one second interval would be to go to menu (button on camera) at the fourth red menu option (on the screen) Live View Shoot must be disabled to attain one shot per second with the canon 7d.
