I think there should be a prize for "Best Incomplete Piece" based on...well, I don't know what it would be based on, but I would win. :thumbsup:

There would be no event without Fat Monster. I heard FM even put some of their own dough into the event too. these are good guys, all around. Any sponsorship money left over that could be sent their way? i think they even paid out-of-pocket for the actual physical awards that the winners took home (i could be wrong). as much as mark johnson insists that FM is the "frat house" of production companies, my own perception of them is one of a total class act and i'm proud to know them. my hats off to Fat Monster – Mark, Tim and of course Super-Luis!!!

We were delighted to be able to facilitate the Cinespace event and we all had a blast the whole weekend. Really, the main regret I have is that the timing didn't allow SABI to co-host it with us as we planned originally. Zak has become an extremely good friend and we make no secret that we watch what he does and are humbled. One way or the other we will do a SABI/FM co-hosted event down the road and I promise that it will rock.

In other FM news, it appears that we are going to move into L.A. and regrettably abandon the Monster Shack East. Those who have been here know how cool the setup is. However, we're realizing that the work we're getting and the need for all three of us principals to be in close proximity trumps the advantages that Rancho Cucamonga has. Luis is going to move into new digs about 5 minutes from his house and we (Tim and me) will take over Luis's house. We may have a free bedroom to rent out if anyone is interested in observing Monster life from the inside.....

Well you guys can shoot all the Inland Empire biz to us starving guys in th HD. Seriously that is a shame sorry to see you go but the best of luck. Keep us posted on whats going on.

Hey Pauly,

We'll most DEFINITELY keep shooting up there in the high desert a lot. So we'll be hanging with you guys for sure. We're likely going to be shooting up there a lot this fall.

That is a shame about having to move, it sounded like you had a great setup at the MSE and I was looking forward to stopping in in October to say hi. I suppose I can still do that where you will be, in fact, you will probably be closer to me this way anyway. When will the move be final?
 
Mark, we spoke to Luis and he knows about our new location... anyway Sabi Pictures is moving to 6399 Wilshire Blvd, a mere stone's throw from FM Shack west.
 
I've been busy and away from the computer a lot the last week in case you haven't noticed... I'll get the consensus from the mods on those two awards and announce them soon.

I'm sending out emails for prize fulfillment of the top 3 beginning tomorrow... so you guys should start seeing some of your prizes trickling in....
