Timefest and non-english films

I just finished watching and voting for all films (nothing like right up to the wire, huh?). A lot has been said about TimeFest, but something I haven't seen that I'd like to add is that I was pleasantly surprised with the number of non-english speaking films in this fest. If I am not mistaken this is the largest number of non-english films submitted for a DVXfest yet and I just wanted to say keep them coming! I really enjoyed the diversity of this fest.

Ditto! I loved them!

I wrote 'Aetas' in English before a buddy translated it to classical Latin. He recorded an MP3 of him slowly saying all the lines. I then made a video of the dialogue being displayed, first in english (while my friend said the english line) then in Latin (with the corresponding latin being said). It worked very well for getting them quickly up to speed.

Thanks krestofre. We are very happy to make part of this fest. Our film is the german speaking one. We did it, because we are in Germany and have had german actors. Then the whole atmosphere of the film is more honest - we didn't want german actors who speaking english. I particulary like also the Latin in Aetas and and the Chinese in North.

Oh, and the language I love more is for sure Italian!!! I enjoyed the film from Mik so much.

Well, had no dialog at all this time :D

I am not sure yet if I want to use german or english for my next entry. I am leaning towards english right now.

But make sure your talents have a propper american accent or the critics will tear you appart because of that

Yeah, I hear your pain :D But I think it won't matter for my entry. No obvious american people. Could be everywhere, maybe in the future where english is the world language, so I don't see a problem. now my idea needs to fit to the next fest...
