7D Timecode and slate questions

Looking for electronic slate ideas. Really have much of a clue. Have been doing it oldfashioned with chalk slate and syncing but NEED to move on to bigger and better things. We are looking to do wireless but at the most electronic. Right now we are running with multiple Canon EOS7D and audio is through a TASCAM DR-680. PLEASE PLEASE LMK what we should get. Our first instincts are an AMBIENT RECORDING ACD-301RF Master Radio Slate Time Code Display - Reader, Generator, Writer, Clapper, Error Checker, Transmitter

Will this work with the 7D and TASCAM? If you have other ideas lease let me know. Money isn't much of a problem so the best of the best is always welcome. Thanks you guys!!!!!!

Personally I'm not much of a time-code guy - for weddings and events I don't find it's too much of a problem to sync everything up manually using waveforms and camera flashes, so I've never really worried about time-code. I suspect many DSLR shooters are the same.

But seeing as this question is posted in the DSLR forum, I'll give a DSLR-oriented answer: Have you checked out the upcoming Canon 1Dx? They're touting it's timecode options as a big feature, so it might let you do what you are looking for.

I have never worked with timecode in a sale before but this tool I stumbled over a while back would be really helpful. The key here is that it takes over one of your audio channels for timecode and then in post you set your nle to read that audio track as code and it can ten be matched and synced to your slate. You can jam sync multiple cameras together with this type of thing.
