I was wondering if there's a way to shoot variable frame rates on DVX's. Im guessing no but I'm too lazy to look it up on the net and this site is dope so yeah whats up

this forum is great! yes your answer was helpful :-) I always wondered if there was another way but this solution makes sense. Does anybody know which cameras have time-lapse built in? Not stop motion but a single frame every 10-60 seconds ?

I think you guys can also explore the option of using still cameras that have a built in timed auto click feature. I think that would be far cheaper that spending $500 on the above mentioned software. Ive heard of sme still cameras that have this feature. And also some still cameras that work on a cheaper software. I think this option is better. You can import the entire Sequence of images into vegas and can start working on it as if ot were a video clip. Plus youd get amazing resolution compared to a video camera based solution. Better shutter speeds etc. The best bet would be to ask on the still photography section of this forum. There are experts there who can better advise us on these still cameras.

I believe that both the DVX and the DVXa have time lapse recording. I know that the DVXb lost the feature with the beefed-up tape transport.
