GH3 Time Lapse Issue

I think my GH3 Time lapse is broken. anytime I try using it, after it tells me press shutter to start, it takes one picture, displays 999 then shuts the camera off. So it seems like it thinks that it is on the last shot of a time-lapse maybe? I have taken battery out, changed the card out, formatted that card, tried a different setting.. but still keeps happening. Every thing else seems to work properly on the camera. Is there something I'm missing, or is this thing busted?

So I just tried changing the amount of shots from 1000 to something different. That seems to have fixed the issue. Even going back to 1000 count its working again….Strange glitch. Now the time-lapse shoot I wanted to perform (chemical reaction in the pool) is no longer available…
