Time Lapse Driving = Goodness

Hello again,

I decided to have a little fun yesterday and took a drive to the beach. Mounted my GH1 to my passenger seat headrest and the rest is history.

Linkity Link!

Looks fantastic on my TV, Vimeo... not so fantastic :(

Here are pictures of the mount.

Nice. Get an ND, shoot at an even slower shutter, and it'll just look like you're driving really fast.

Yeah, The local camera shop didn't have a strong enough ND so I tried my luck with the polarizer. But all I stop down to was f/22 :(

In manual mode, i could only get to 1/30 shutter speed. can you get slower than that in "S" mode?

Also, I noticed that vimeo seems to have cut my frame rate a bit, on the raw footage the motion blur works a little better. (less stutter)

Did you leave OIS switched on? Reason I ask is I shot some car mount this week on a mountain road and when I got back to look at it, I noticed that the car interior was bobbing around and realised I'd not switched OIS off. This is a great cam for mounting, as you don't need to remove part of the car to get the rig in and as you've shown the results look really good.

Looks like Decker Canyon.

Yep, Totally is decker canyon.

Hey, i don't know if anybody knows this or not, but is it possible to shoot at 1/24 or 1/28 shutter speed on these cameras? It appears like it isn't I have a GH1K, but the slowest shutter speed i can get to in movie mode is 1/30. Somebody commented on the video and said I could get to 1/24th in 1080 mode but this does not appear to be the case.

I use two circular polarizers on my HV20. That will do the trick and replaces a stack of ND filters.
