Sekonic L-318B Works Sometimes

This light meter that someone gave me, works when I turn it on, but if I turn it off, then turn it right back on, it usually won't go on. For it to go on again, usuall it has to be off for awhile. Now, I'm very ignorent about light meters, and don't know if there's some kind of recycling thing or not. But, as an electronic device, I would think, once it's turned on, it should go on. Any help is appreciated.

Yes, well, after that inspiring feedback, I decided to take it apart. Lo and behold, there was a wire that was broken, and not touching all the time.

Yeah, that sounds about right. Was it a wire connected to the power button? I figured something was totally wrong, thus the reason for giving it away (I assume free). If you can fix it, awesome! Sekonic's don't always go cheap.
