using a DVX100A what is the optimal interval time for a time laps shoot?

details of the shoot are as follows:
from 9:00am-sundown
of people painting
on a DVX100A

does anybody have tips or tricks?
and can i shoot time lapse in 24p or 24p advanced or should i use 30p?
any info will be helpful.

I'd shoot the shortest record period at like 10 seconds interval. Shoot it in whatever frame rate that the project is.

LAPSE** THe only things i can say is for one it looks better when the camera is in a static position i.e. a tripod, and two, i have heard that shooting in LP rather than SP is a good idea for a time lapse because it saves tape and you dont see too much quality difference. I dont know if that is true because i havent tried it but thats just what ive heard.

If you have access to a laptop I suggest you use a software to capture it,
instead of wearing the heads of your camera.
I've used a freeware program called Animator DV+.
Or if you have a dslr and an intervalometer, you can get HD images.
