Time Code on LCD not stopping

I just picked up a 200a from a rental house and took it home to test and the TC on the LCD will not stop running, even when I am not recording. I have not even seen it there before how do I make it go away or work properly?

You camera is most likely in FREE-RUN TC mode, you need to switch it to REC-RUN in the menu.

The exact location of the setting in the menu eludes me right this moment, sorry.

Within the RECORDING SETUP menu, change TCG from FREE RUN to REC RUN.
