The stock lens that comes with the t2i, the canon 18-55mm, could someone please tell me the thread size for using filters with it? I have a Cokin P filter system and have a 62mm and a 67mm that I could attach to the front of the lens... anyone know if these are the right sizes. I get my camera on Friday and am shooting Saturday morning so I am trying to make some quick plans for a polarizer.

Yup, 58mm.
Just use a step-up ring. IMO, it's a little easier on your wallet to just get filters for your biggest lenses (ie. 77mm, etc) and use step-up rings for your smaller ones, instead of getting different sized filters for each of your lenses. That is, unless you have money to burn. :violent5:
BTW, the link you posted is the older 18-55 kit lens. Here's the one that comes with the T2i:
