Thoughts on tripod kit

I am thinking about getting this for my T2i.

I will occasionally use a zaza slider as well. Does anyone think this will do a bad job?

I've got this set up (and it cost me $500). I've got an indislider and it works great, no shake.

Highly recommend the head, it's money very well spent. I use mine on an older set of Manfrotto sticks, I have absolutely nothing negative to say about it.

I just bought the Libec LS-38 for my 7D rig and would never go backwards to the cheapy Manfrotto gear I cut my teeth with. It is better in every possible way I can think of. Twice the price of what you're looking at there, but well worth the extra cash.

I think the only reason I am looking at that kit is because of the price. I am not a professional, but I am an intense hobbyist that will eventually move up in the ranks.

I went through the same dilemma. I ended up with those legs and a HDV701 head. I have been very happy with it. I considered the LS-38 but I was concerned my rig wasn't heavy enough. One day I will move up but this tripod suits all my needs.

We have that same exact setup at school (about 4 of 5 sets).

it works ok, but the heads arent really super smooth. The sticks are pretty stable, but not sure id trust a slider on it unless it was only a 24" or so.

I also put my whole rig on it as well, its very smooth, and only $169 shipped with a free dolly.

I think if that rig wasn't so heavy, I'd probably get it... but I need some mobility.
